In January and February, 2009, Martin Tétreault (turntables) will present three solo concerts in Berlin followed by a short tour with German musician Ignaz Schick (turntables, objects, bows).

Nathalie Derome, with her first class collaborators Jean Derome, Frank Martel and Martin Tétreault, will perform at the Lion d’Or in Montréal on January 16, 2009. Here’s a chance to rediscover the poetry that has made her mark over the past 20 years.

Ensemble SuperMusique presents its Grand Annual Concert with Y’a du bruit dans ma cabane. Musicians Jean Derome, Joane Hétu, Diane Labrosse, Pierre-Yves Martel, Danielle Palardy Roger, Pierre Tanguay and Martin Tétreault, as well as video artist David Emmanuel Fafard and sound engineer Colin Gagné, will stand where no-one stops, and create a customized universe of the rooms of a house. The concerts will take place at the SAT, in Montréal, on December 17 and 18, 2008.

Martin Tétreault was invited to take part in AIM Toronto’s Interface Series. From December 4 to 6, 2008, you will have the opportunity to hear this internationally-renowned turntablist in solo setting, as well as in various formations featuring Toronto musicians.

Featuring six exceptional soloists and a huge palette of sounds, Y’a du bruit dans ma cabane is Ensemble SuperMusique’s latest release.

Disparition de l’usine éphémère is the first release from a quartet consisting of prominent improvisers from Québec and Norway: Philippe Lauzier, Pierre-Yves Martel, Kim Myhr and Martin Tétreault. The peculiar combination of old and new instruments renders a poetic image of a faded, bygone industrial plant.
