The 10th edition of the festival Mutek will be held on May 27 — 31 2009. Here are some of the many featured concerts: Play 1 on Wednesday, May 27th with Éric Normand and Magali Babin as well as A/Visions 2 on Thursday, May 28th with Martin Tétreault. These two concerts will be presented at Monument-National.

The next Mercredimusics will feature Nicolas Caloia, Jean Derome, Guillaume Dostaler and Martin Tétreault on April 29, 2009, at Casa Obscura in Montréal.

As part of the Festival Metropolis Bleu, the Veuillez signaler un poème show will feature eight poets and nine musicians from Montréal, including Lori Freedman and Martin Tétreault. The concert will take place on April 23, 2009, at Espace Dell’Arte in Montréal.

As part of its “Concerts/Album Launch” series, Productions SuperMusique, in collaboration with DAME, proudly present Antoine Berthiaume and Elliott Sharp, an impressive duo whose music blends together soundwaves reminiscent of Xenakis’ architectures and intensities. An incandescent trio comprising Philippe Lauzier, Pierre-Yves Martel and Martin Tétreault will open the evening with poetic and textural music evoking the sonic atmosphere of a derelict factory. Come celebrate the release of BASE and Disparition de l’usine éphémère, two new titles in the Ambiances Magnétiques catalogue. The concert will take place on Wednesday March 25, 2009, at La Sala Rossa in Montréal.

On March 5, 2009, as part of the Jeudis tout ouïe, Galerie B-312 presents Martin Tétreault and his Turntable Quartet (featuring Magali Babin, David Lafrance, Alex MacSween and Nancy Tobin) as well as the group Mineminemine, with Magali Babin, Éric Létourneau and Alexandre St-Onge.

On February 7, 2009, Poètes publics will be in concert at La Sala Rossa in Montréal for the Festival Voix d’Amériques. A shape-shifting ensemble that unites dozens of poets, performers and musicians with a desire to work and explore together in an improvisational context, Poètes publics will feature for this occasion musicians Bernard Falaise, Diane Labrosse, Martin Tétreault, Michel F Côté and Guido del Fabbro, rapper-improviser Khyro and poet-performers Catherine Lalonde, Renée Gagnon, Danny Plourde, Geneviève Blais and D. Kimm. Also, on February 13, Frank Martel and Nathalie Derome will be featured at the Cabaret DADA Surréaliste, the festival’s closing night concert.
