Check out the Festival des musiques de création (FMC) where great artists are scheduled to perform. The festival takes place in Jonquière on May 14 — 23, 2009. Amongst the many artists invited: Quartetski, Martin Tétreault, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Éric Normand, and Pierre-Yves Martel.

The Suoni Per Il Popolo festival is held in Montréal throughout the month of June and features concerts every evening at La Sala Rossa as well as at Casa del Popolo. This year you will hear, amongst others: Ensemble SuperMusique,Quartetski, Joshua Zubot, Pierre Tanguay, Scott Thomson, Jean Derome, Nicolas Caloia, Isaiah Ceccarelli and Marilyn Lerner.

Nicolas Caloia will be in concert at L’envers in Montréal on 15 mai 2009 with Lori Freedman, Chris Burns, and John Heward.

The 10th edition of the festival Mutek will be held on May 27 — 31 2009. Here are some of the many featured concerts: Play 1 on Wednesday, May 27th with Éric Normand and Magali Babin as well as A/Visions 2 on Thursday, May 28th with Martin Tétreault. These two concerts will be presented at Monument-National.

The Ensemble Transmission ensemble (Lori Freedman, D’Arcy Philip Gray, Clemens Merkel, Guy Pelletier, Brigitte Poulin, Julie Trudeau) will be in concert in Montréal on May 21, 2009, at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur. On the programme: works by Elliot Carter, Thomas Adès, Jonathan Harvey, Yannick Plamondon and Michael Osterle.
