Pierre-Yves Martel and Ziya Tabassian will be in concert with ensemble Constantinople on May 15, 2008 at Palais Montcalm in Québec city, and on May 16 at the Salle Pierre-Mercure of the Centre Pierre-Péladeau in Montréal. This flamenco style concert, El grito, el silencio, also stars Misirli Ahmet (Istanbul), Rosario La Tremendita (Seville), José-Luis Rodriguez (Seville) and, obviously, Kiya Tabassian.

On May 15, 2008 at Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville: Jean Derome et les Dangereux Zhoms + 7 at Cinéma Laurier, 8 pm.

Brigitte Poulin will launch her new CD Édifices naturels, tribute to the vitality of the composer-performer interaction, at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur on May 13, 2008. A short performance will take place between 5 and 7 pm. Édifices naturels is the 5th release of Collection QB label directed by the Bozzini Quartet.

The new album En concert by Damián Nisenson Trio is the 8th release from Malasartes musique label, starring Damian Nisenson playing saxophones, Jean Félix Mailloux, doublebass, Pierre Tanguay, drums, Ziya Tabassian, percussion, Luzio Altobelli, accordion, and Denis Plante, bandoneon, during a concert recorded in Montréal in December 2007.

The last part of Little Métis triptych by Danielle Palardy Roger — Who Knows — will be premiered by the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal conducted by Véronique Lacroix as part of the concert Les Marquises that will take place on Wednesday May 14, 2008 (7:30 pm) at the Salle Pierre-Mercure in Montréal. Amongst guest soloists: Diane Labrosse and Michel F Côté on electronics.
