morceaux_de_machines, duo formed by A_dontigny and Érick d’Orion, will present its new audio works in Québec City and in Montréal:

• August 15, 2008 (9 pm): with Maximus (Christian Messier), Saphir Martini (Fred Carrier, Catherine Lefrançois, Vincent Bélanger, Alexandre Lefrançois, Maxime Lefrançois, Luke Dawson) at 840 Saint-Joseph Est in Québec City.
• August 21, 2008 (9 pm): with holzkopf (Jake Hardy), DJ Kutcorners at L’envers in Montréal.

On August 14, 2008 Damián Nisenson will be in concert with the Ensemble Fleur de Lys as part of the Concerts de la cité’s Jeudis et vendredis Jazz 5 à 7 at the Amphithéâtre du Carré-Strathcona in Sherbrooke. That same day they will be at Bar Loubards (9 pm). Moreover, {nbio:nisenson_da} will play during the Toronto Ashkenaz Festival with Israeli singer Daddo: on August 31, they will be at Free Times Café; on September 1, at Harbourfront Centre’s Toronto Star Stage.

Robert Marcel Lepage has composed the music for two documentary full-length films: PARIS1919 and The Art of Documentary. Three tv projects with France are also on their way. Furthermore, {nbio:lepage_ro} is two-time Gémeaux Prize nominee, this year: his film musics of Nestor et les oubliés by Benoit Pilon (music performed by Luzio Altobelli, Jean-Félix Mailloux, Yanik Cloutier, and Isaiah Ceccarelli); and Chez Schwartz’s by Gary Beitel (with Normand Guilbeault, Maxime Séguin, Claude Lavergne, Yanik Cloutier, and Sean Craig) have been selected.

Quick reminder: Isaiah Ceccarelli, Jean Derome, Francisco Lozano, Pierre-Yves Martel, and Stephen Raegele will give a concert on Thursday August 14, 2008 (7:30) as part of the Up to your Ears festival at Christ Church Cathedral in Montréal.

Alexandre St-Onge, Gmackrr, and Gordon M Allen will be in concert as part of the Improvising Montréal series at Casa del Popolo, in Montréal, on Thursday August 7, 2008 (21h). {nbio:stonge_al} and {nbio:allen_go} will be there again with Dora Bleu and others on August 13, 2008.
