Tuesday September 8, 2009 at La Sala Rossa (Montréal), Jean Derome is surrounding his trusty Dangereux Zhoms (Pierre Cartier, Guillaume Dostaler, Pierre Tanguay, and Tom Walsh) with 7 extra seasoned musicians. He is taking this dream team through the sinuous paths of two recent compositions: Plates-formes and Traquenards.

On Sunday June 21, 2009 at 3 pm you can listen to Hat, a trio composed by Scott Thomson, Susanna Hood and Gordon M Allen in a graceful programme of music by the American composer and soprano saxophone master Steve Lacy. This concert will be followed by an homage to Thelonious Monk with Jean Derome, Pierre Cartier, Isaiah Ceccarelli and Alexandre Grogg.

On November 2, 2008, Joe Giardullo will be performing at L’envers alongside 16 of Montréal’s finest improvisers: Gordon M Allen, Philippe Battikha, Fred Bazil, Chris Burns, Pierre Cartier, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Michel F , Lori Freedman, John Heward, Philippe Lauzier, Étienne Lebel, Corinne René, Alexandre St-Onge, Sam Shalabi, Ida Toninato and Rainer Weins. Quite the orchestra!

On June 19, 2008 at L’OFF Festival de Jazz de Montréal: Joël Prenovault’s Cantouque ensemble (with Bernard Falaise, Marianne Trudel, Pierre Tanguay) will be at Lion d’Or at 8 pm. Then, Isaiah Ceccarelli’s sextet (with Pierre Cartier, Josée Lalonde, Philippe Lauzier, Franck Lozano, Pierre-Yves Martel) will be at Dièse onze at 10 pm.
