Plates-formes was composed in 2008 as a homage to the organizers of the Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) by saxophonist Jean Derome. Its distinctive trait is the perpetual rhythmic dephasing and the G note used as the bridge connecting between them its short sections/platforms.
