DAME now distributes the French label Rude Awakening founded in 2003. The collaboration between this young label and Ambiances Magnétiques is “natural” since both entities have many similarities. Rude Awakening brings together 20 musicians essentially from Montpellier, but also from Paris, Toulouse, Copenhagen (Denmark), and Chicago (USA), and their catalogue includes projects in contemporary jazz music and electro-jazz, jazzcore, improvised music and indietronica. Two new releases on Ambiances Magnétiques label:

• Shruti Project by Ganesh Anandan and John Gzowski that proposes a series of structured improvisations using Indian and Indonesian tunings, and inspired by the work of contemporary composers.
• Clic by Bernard Falaise proposes different studies on tempi resiliency and superpositions, and on the domestic birds’ capacity to learn languages!

Five new extraordinary albums are now available: Scat by Tim Brady, Musique pour objets en voie de disparition by Diane Labrosse, Visions fugitives op. 22 by Pierre-Yves Martel, To Continue by Jean Derome et les Dangereux Zhoms, and Passeggiata dei buddies by Ironico Orkestra.
