DAME now distributes the French label Rude Awakening founded in 2003. The collaboration between this young label and Ambiances Magnétiques is “natural” since both entities have many similarities. Rude Awakening brings together 20 musicians essentially from Montpellier, but also from Paris, Toulouse, Copenhagen (Denmark), and Chicago (USA), and their catalogue includes projects in contemporary jazz music and electro-jazz, jazzcore, improvised music and indietronica.
