The 6th edition of the Rencontres de musiques spontanées will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2008 at Paradis in Rimouski (Québec). Notably on programme: the comic strip and music trio with Robert Marcel Lepage (clarinets, cartoon), Pierre-Yves Martel (doublebass, cartoon), Éric Normand (percussion, cartoon). Robert Marcel Lepage will also conduct the grand ensemble that will present to the public a series of improvised music resulting of a 2-day workshop.

The next Mercredimusics will host A_dontigny, Michel F Côté, Joane Hétu, on April 23, 2008 at Casa Obscura in Montréal.

Robert Bastien (electric guitar), Isaiah Ceccarelli (percussion), Brigitte Lacasse (accordion), Éric Normand (bass, electronics), Danielle Palardy Roger (percussion), and Catherine S Massicotte (violin) will give a workshop-concert on June 22, 2007 at Casa Obscura, Montréal. Many DAME artists will participate to the third Rencontres de musiques spontanées (RMS3), held in Rimouski (Québec) from December 1 — 3, 2006. On December 1, Catherine S Massicotte, Brigitte Lacasse and Éric Normand will present their project Minus 3 followed by Érick d’Orion and his latest audio creation Téléphonie cellulaire. On December 2 a second double feature will be presented, this time with Les gars trans (a band featuring Frank Martel, Robin Servant and Éric Normand) and Cabina obscura featuring John Blouin and Bernard Falaise. Sunday, December 3 will see the launch of a new CD, 10 situations précaires, by James Darling, Lori Freedman, Gabriel Dionne, and Diane Labrosse. The CD launch will be followed by a presentation of Khôra, a work by Jean-François Laporte interpreted by Martin Ouellet.
