Pierre-Yves Martel (viola da gamba), Philippe Lauzier (saxophones, bass clarinet), Éric Normand (bass), Pascal Beaulieu (various), Jean-Pierre Bouchard (guitar), Guillaume Thibert (keyboards, electronics), Raphaël Arsenault (violin, electronics), and Antoine L-Berger (percussion) will be at Le Cagibi as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music on Tuesday May 26, 2009.

Lori Freedman, Isaiah Ceccarelli and Éric Normand will be at L’envers in Montréal on May 25, 2009.

Check out the Festival des musiques de création (FMC) where great artists are scheduled to perform. The festival takes place in Jonquière on May 14 — 23, 2009. Amongst the many artists invited: Quartetski, Martin Tétreault, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Éric Normand, and Pierre-Yves Martel.

The 10th edition of the festival Mutek will be held on May 27 — 31 2009. Here are some of the many featured concerts: Play 1 on Wednesday, May 27th with Éric Normand and Magali Babin as well as A/Visions 2 on Thursday, May 28th with Martin Tétreault. These two concerts will be presented at Monument-National.

Bringing together musicians of Tour de Bras of Rimouski and the Centre d’expérimentation musicale of Saguenay(Guillaume Thibert, Jean-Pierre Bouchard, Pascal Beaulieu, Antoine Létourneau-Berger, Raphael Arsenault and Éric Normand), Musiques Dérives will be presented on May 15, 2009 at the Re:flux Festival in Moncton.

Two residencies will unite five trios from four different cities and two continents. On March 7, 2009, at Coop Paradis in Rimouski, an exceptional collaboration between Tour de Bras and the Centre d’expérimentation musicale will bring together three musicians from Saguenay and three from Rimouski. On March 13 and 14, always at Coop Paradis, the project Une règle de trois will explore the different possibilities offered by the meeting of three unique trios: SAP(e) from Montpellier, France (Aurélien Besnard, Guillaume Contré, Christophe Devaux), LLL from Montréal (Francis Rossignol, David Lafrance, Jean-François Lauda) et Wowowo trio from Rimouski (Robin Servant, Catherine S Massicotte, Éric Normand).
