Two residencies will unite five trios from four different cities and two continents. On March 7, 2009, at Coop Paradis in Rimouski, an exceptional collaboration between Tour de Bras and the Centre d’expérimentation musicale will bring together three musicians from Saguenay and three from Rimouski. On March 13 and 14, always at Coop Paradis, the project Une règle de trois will explore the different possibilities offered by the meeting of three unique trios: SAP(e) from Montpellier, France (Aurélien Besnard, Guillaume Contré, Christophe Devaux), LLL from Montréal (Francis Rossignol, David Lafrance, Jean-François Lauda) et Wowowo trio from Rimouski (Robin Servant, Catherine S Massicotte, Éric Normand). Two concerts, two concepts.

The 7th edition of the Rencontres de musiques spontanées will take place on November 27 and 28, 2008 at Paradis in Rimouski (Québec). The programme will include Éric Normand’s Musique de Bataille (featuring musicians Raphaël Arsenault, Isaiah Ceccarelli, James Darling and Catherine S Massicotte), Virgule (with Gordon M Allen and Esther B), the duo of Alexandre Grogg and Isaiah Ceccarelli, as well as Le Grand Groupe Régional d’Improvisation Libre.

December 1 – 3, 2006: DAME Artists in Rimouski

Many DAME artists will participate to the third Rencontres de musiques spontanées (RMS3), held in Rimouski (Québec) from December 1 — 3, 2006. On December 1, Catherine S Massicotte, Brigitte Lacasse and Éric Normand will present their project Minus 3 followed by Érick d’Orion and his latest audio creation Téléphonie cellulaire. On December 2 a second double feature will be presented, this time with Les gars trans (a band featuring Frank Martel, Robin Servant and Éric Normand) and Cabina obscura featuring John Blouin and Bernard Falaise. Sunday, December 3 will see the launch of a new CD, 10 situations précaires, by James Darling, Lori Freedman, Gabriel Dionne, and Diane Labrosse. The CD launch will be followed by a presentation of Khôra, a work by Jean-François Laporte interpreted by Martin Ouellet.
