The GGRIL (homeband of the Tour de Bras collective) is proud to offer you his first (and free) album on Insubordinations Netlabel (Switzerland). The ensemble recorded 4 pieces live with the participation of invited conductors Jean Derome and the trio Les Poules.

Composer and sampler virtuoso, explorer of short-lived lists and gifted displayer of audio states of mind, Diane Labrosse is now focusing on the last breath of obsolete tools, so we can hear their final utterances. A dilettante anthropologist searching for ancient sonic traces — those left by these endangered species, Diane Labrosse will be studying appliances on the brink of extinction: percolator, typewriter, rotating-dial telephone, spring-winded alarm clock… and she will be revealing the poetry of these declining objects. The installation/performance Espèces en voie de disparition will take place from June 6 to 9, 2007 at L’Oblique, Montréal.

Joane Hétu will present her Filature project in which she mixes rock, minimalist music, improvisations with visual and scenic components. This lively artist will be on stage with the Ensemble SuperMusique (Mélanie Auclair, Guido Del Fabbro, Jean Derome, Claire Gignac, Normand Guilbeault, Diane Labrosse, Danielle Palardy Roger, Pierre Tanguay, Némo Venba), and visual artist Pierre Hébert. This concert will be presented on May 21, 2007 at cinéma Laurier in Victoriaville as part of the Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville (23 concerts of “musique actuelle” — detailed schedule on their website). Until then, you may want to go by a virtual roundabout way and listen to some online audio clips of her album Nouvelle musique d’hiver.

L’oreille à Vincent will take place on March 21, 2007 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. This event features Jean-Pierre Gauthier (sound sculptures), Diane Labrosse (sampler), Martin Tétreault (turntable), Michel F Côté (electronic percussion), Christof Migone (electronics) and the Duo Travagliando formed by Jean-Pierre Gauthier and Mirko Sabatini. L’oreille à Vincent is a Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and Productions SuperMusique collaboration.
