  • A Second Winter According to Hétu

Wednesday, February 7, 2007 New releases

The last release of Joane Hétu, Nouvelle musique d’hiver, which you may want to listen to while watching a bonfire, is a real audio documentary about winter constructed in four sections: Joyeux temps, Être dans le vent, La marmotte, and Calcium sloche. You will hear the musicians of the Ensemble SuperMusique (Jean Derome, Guillaume Dostaler, Joane Hétu, Diane Labrosse, Pierre Tanguay), Lori Freedman, Martin Tétreault, and Gilles Derome in thrilling improvisations.

    Three Trios with Freedman

Monday, September 25, 2006 New releases

3 nights, 3 trios, and their innumerable musical possibilities: armed with an intuitive comprehension of improvisation, Lori Freedman plunged head first into 3. Amongst the noisy textures of Martin Tétreault and René Lussier, over the wonderful rumblings of Nicolas Caloia and Danielle Palardy Roger, or answering the delicate preparations of Jean Derome and Rainer Wiens, {nbio:freedman_lo} gives on 3 the full mesure of her talent.
