Ika Atl is an interdisciplinary artist and community educator. She explores the connections between the body, voice, and territory through drawing, community cinema, performance, and contemporary art, generating collective processes of creative reflection. She works in close collaboration with the artist Adrian Gama. United by a shared vision of art as a tool for social transformation, these two interdisciplinary artists develop projects that intertwine community cinema, animation, and collaborative creation processes. Their practice is rooted in encounter, where art becomes a means of building memory, strengthening bonds, and generating collective learning. From audiovisual and sound experimentation to community training, they both focus on art that emerges from daily life and transforms into a shared experience. Currently, they are part of the collectives La Yerbabuena, Red Audiovisual anjd Ambigú Trashumante Barra de Café Ambulante and collaborate with other colleagues. More
