Clarinettist Lepage has produced music for film, dance, video and multimedia installation. The three compositions here are for videos by Chantal Dupont and Elisabeth Wörle, and feature chambers groups with voices. Du front eenly explores breathy, drawn out sonorities, while Notes pour Chantal et Elisabeth for Lepages’s limpid clarinet, electric guitar and alto is sparer, delicate and trancelike. Ernest add bass, trombone, voices and narrator, plus soundscape elements wich dilute the effect. A curiously affecting dics by an unusual talent.
