Atomes est une exploration de la matière sonore par un procédé de tissage, survolée et ponctuée par une écriture pointilliste et bruitée.

Fragments was inspired by the lines and colours of Wassily Kandinsky’s Composition VIII (1923), with the intention to create a fragmented vision of time and space. In composing this piece, I also tried to achieve transparency between the respective nature of its sound materials, using as much from the synthetic as the acoustic universe.

A cathartic expression of vertigo, the kind one can feel towards time. The sounds used in this composition include field recordings, vinyl samplings, analog and digital synthesis, prepared piano and the siren organ, an wind instrument invented by Jean-François Laporte.

Un ensemble de pièces électroacoustiques miniatures divisé sur cinq sections, cette pièce est l’exploration d’une écriture basée sur des phénomènes cycliques. Elle comporte trois mouvements articulés, intercalés de deux interstices de nature statique. Comme le peintre qui actualise quotidiennement la matière de son œuvre, les matériaux sonores utilisés dans la création de cette pièce sont ceux d’innombrables transformations d’ébauches compositionnelles.
