A young quartet from Montréal, Torngat offers an enjoyable blend of conceptual Jazz / Groove marinated in vivid rhythms. Over time, this group has gained recognition and respect for the quality and originality of its sound. Torngat strikes a balance between total improvisation, structured improvisation and composition — on most occasions the result of a collective effort. Some of its projects are of an acoustic nature, others are on the electronic side or simply mix up both.
