“The essential is invisible to the eye” explained the poet to a child, quoting the renowned author. To which the child replied: “Yeah, too bad, huh?” And suddenly the poet felt essential. I practise poetry in an interdisciplinary way: visual poetry; literary or oral; vocal, sound or noise-based; in performance, in action or in relation. In Québec City, together with militants and artists, I try to root telephone posts through the political poetry maneuvers of the Local Post Reappropriation Front (LPRF). I have also started the Poetry Actualization Springboard (PAS) and the “Poetry Fridays” at the Tam Tam Café. The unclassifiable kind, but then again “all the rest is mere fine writing.”
