Damián Nisenson (saxophone) will give a concert on October 19, 2006 at the Maison de la culture Ahuntsic. {nbio:nisenson_da} will be joined by Jean Félix Mailloux (double bass), Pierre Tanguay (drums), and two special guests, Denis Plante (bandoneon) and Ziya Tabassian (percussions).

Right before their departure for Europe, Les Poules will play live in Montréal with the band P.O.W.E.R. on October 10, 2006 for the Volapük concert series.

Les Poules will then be in concert in Marseille (France) on October 12 at the Groupe de recherche et d’improvisation musicales (GRIM). Lastly, the trio will take part in the festival LEM in Barcelona (Spain) on October 19.

The CD launch of Lori Freedman’s new CD 3 will take place on October 3, 2006 from 5 to 7 pm at Cheval blanc (Montréal).

Tim Brady will launch his new CD GO [Guitar Obsession], and present his live project Three Cities in the Life of Dr Norman Bethune on October 11, 2006 at the Maison de la culture Frontenac (Montréal).

The Fanfare Pourpour will play live with guest Lars Hollmer on October 8, 2006 at La Sala Rossa (Montréal).

The Guelph Jazz Festival (Ontario) will take place from September 6 to 10, 2006. We will hear pianist Marilyn Lerner on September 6, and Robert Marcel Lepage will present his project Pee Wee et moi on September 7. Famed trumpet player Bill Dixon and double bass master Joëlle Léandre will share the stage on September 8. Alson, Lori Freedman will join the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble on September 9.
