The clarinet and piano duo of Benoît Delbecq (Paris) and François Houle (Vancouver) will take part in the Binary Cities Event #4 in San Francisco (USA) on May 16, 2008 (8 pm). Frédéric St-Hilaire (Montréal) will also perform live video and mixed media during the show.

Pierre-Yves Martel and Ziya Tabassian will be in concert with ensemble Constantinople on May 15, 2008 at Palais Montcalm in Québec city, and on May 16 at the Salle Pierre-Mercure of the Centre Pierre-Péladeau in Montréal. This flamenco style concert, El grito, el silencio, also stars Misirli Ahmet (Istanbul), Rosario La Tremendita (Seville), José-Luis Rodriguez (Seville) and, obviously, Kiya Tabassian.

The last part of Little Métis triptych by Danielle Palardy Roger — Who Knows — will be premiered by the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal conducted by Véronique Lacroix as part of the concert Les Marquises that will take place on Wednesday May 14, 2008 (7:30 pm) at the Salle Pierre-Mercure in Montréal. Amongst guest soloists: Diane Labrosse and Michel F Côté on electronics.

Mystery Corps, André Duchesne, Jean René, and Pierre Tanguay will be, on Tuesday May 13, 2008, at Le Cagibi as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music.

The CD launch of En concert by Damián Nisenson Trio will take place on Friday May 9 and Saturday May 10, 2008 at Dièse onze in Montréal. This CD, an ‘energetic discharge’ that deeply satisfies our soul, is the 8th release of the independant Malasartes musique label.
