The Fanfare Pourpour will be in concert at Carrefour communautaire L’Entre-Gens in Rosemont borough in Montréal, on September 5, 2008; and also, on September 7, it will play as part of the Grande Fête du Monde on the Collège Gérald-Godin site, which is located in L’Île-Bizard—Sainte-Geneviève borough.

The Guelph Jazz Festival & Colloquium will take place from September 3 - 7, 2008 in Guelph (Ontario). On September 5 (5:30 pm) Joane Hétu will present her project Filature, with 10 Ensemble SuperMusique musicians and 2 dancers, in the River Run Centre’s Co-operators Hall. Rouge ciel will also play on September 4 (5 pm) at Macdonald Stewart Art Centre.

Damián Nisenson will be the September guest artist at Dièse onze in Montréal:

• September 4: with Jean Félix Mailloux, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Jean-Marc Hébert;
• September 11: with Alex Bellegarde, Moïse Yawo Matey;
• September 18: with Pierre Tanguay, Josiane Antourel (dance).

MaryClare Brzytwa will present several performances in Europe this automn:

• September 2: with Dure-mère at Le Mojomatic in Montpellier (France);
• September 5: with dieb13 at Small Paviolion in Wels (Austria);
• September 8: with Blectum from Blechdom at Sound of Mu in Oslo (Norway);
• September 10: with Blectum from Blechdom et Kuupuu at The Luminaire (Upset the Rhythm) in Kilburn (UK).

Gordon M Allen will take part in the improvisation of the live soundtrack on silent movie La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc by Carl Theodor Dreyer. This event takes place on August 25, 2008 as part of the Monday Night Screenings series at lab.synthèse in Montréal.

Bertrand Denzler will give an improvisation workshop as part of the Jazz à Mulhouse festival at the Conservatoire de Mulhouse (France) from August 25 to 29, 2008. He will also play in concert with Hubbub on August 28; and with the saxophone quartet Propagations on August 30.
