The new album Agrégats by Guido Del Fabbro offers 13 pieces orchestrated for acoustic instruments with a touch of electronics, and performed by a shapeshifting ensemble. It also proposes a repertoire which has a foot in traditional folk music and another in avant-rock territory. Agrégats is an intense work performed by an unmatched ensemble, whose conductor will definitely surprise you.

Michel F Côté who doesn’t need to be presented will launch his newest album (juste) Claudette on October 15, 2007 at Cheval blanc in Montréal. The day after, on October 16, the trio Fenaison will launch its Plat of free structures and contemporary sonorities, at same place.

After their nominations at the National Jazz Awards as: Acoustic Group of the Year, Saxophonist of the Year, Drummer of the Year… following the release of the CD The Feeling of Jazz accalaimed by the press, the musicians of the Trio Derome Guilbeault Tanguay got back together to record on DVD-Video their concert of June 29, 2006, at the Lion d’Or during L’OFF Festival de Jazz de Montréal. The DVD-Video Étymologie “is a living embodiment of the ongoing musical conversation Amongst three great friends—and great artists. Their playing is imbued with the essential spirit of jazz modernism, featuring group interplay of the highest order” (Mike Chamberlain).

Composer and guitarist Antoine Berthiaume with composer, flutist and “laptopist” MaryClare Brzytwa just released the new CD Bebe Donkey. In this regard, reviewer Bruce Gallanter wrote “Here, Berthiaume and Brzytwa blend layers of electronic and sampled sounds producing sonic sculptures.
