The Gala de l’Alternative musicale indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ) has announced yesterday, during the press conference, the nominees of the 2nd edition. Karusell Musik by Fanfare Pourpour was nominated in “Best World/Trad Album” category. The winners name will be revealed on September 16, 2007 at the Métropolis in Montréal. You can go vote for your best artists on the GAMIQ website.

The video Actions (9) from the installation Exercices de neutralité by Manon Labrecque and Martin Tétreault was awarded the Prix à la création artistique du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ). This prize was presented during the 25th Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois.

A new comic book has just been released at Éditions Mécanique générale: Le Piano de neige by the very versatile artist Robert Marcel Lepage. Furthermore, you can meet him in Aubagne (France) on March 21 to 31, 2007, where he will give master classes on film music.
