For another year, the Festival Voix d’Amériques collaborates with many musicians of whom Guido Del Fabbro, Bernard Falaise, Michel F Côté, Malcolm Goldstein, Diane Labrosse, Geneviève Letarte, Alexandre St-Onge… The festival begins next Friday, February 1-8, 2008, at Galerie Espace, Casa del Popolo, and La Sala Rossa in Montréal.

On January 24, 2008, at 9 pm, CBC Radio Two Canada Live will air the concert given by Quartetski on last December 8th in Ottawa.

NFB’s CinéRobothèque presents La bande optique with Robert Marcel Lepage. On menu: discussion about improvisation and film music, followed by a live performance given with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal students, Martin Tétreault, and John Blouin. This event will take place on January 24, 2008, at 7:30 pm.

Just before vacations, Voir journalist Olivier Robillard Laveaux put Yé-Yi-You-Ya by Frank Martel in 5th position of his “Top 10 Local Scene.” He adds: “Secret bien gardé de la scène locale, Frank Martel tisse un univers qui ne ressemble à rien. Et lorsqu’on fait de la chanson folk au Québec, Dieu sait que cette singularité est un atout.”

CIBL included Ambiances Magnétiques in its 2007 review. Indeed, Agrégats by Guido Del Fabbro is in the 2007 Top CD of the Faites d’la place!! radio programme hosted by Mathieu Francœur!
