Diane Labrosse invites you to “Petit bestiaire” (Small Bestiary), a serie of bruitist and absurd compositions based on wildlife. The concert is held at Montréal’s La Sala Rossa April 29 and 30, 2004 with musicians Michel F Côté (acoustic and electronic percussions), Lori Freedman (clarinets), Diane Labrosse (sampler), Frank Martel (theremin, electric guitar, voice) and Jocelyn Veilleux (french horn).

Fanfare Pourpour celebrates Spring! Don’t miss them as they play live in Montréal May 2, 2004 at the Chalet du Mont-Royal, May 15 at the International Litterature Festival, Mai 29 at the Va-et-Vient and finally Sunday June 6 during the Tour de l’Île.

The Trio Derome Guilbeault Tanguay will be performing on May 17, 24, and 31, 2004 at Cheval blanc (Montréal).

Tom Walsh and his Noma ensemble will tour Canada this summer. You will be able to catch them at Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville on May 23, Vancouver Jazz Festival (BC) on June 30, Jazz Festival Calgary (AB) on July 2, in Edmonton (AB) on July 4, at Festival international de jazz de Montréal (QC) on July 9 followed by St John’s Jazz Festival (NF) on July 10, and finally in Halifax (NS) on July 12, 2004. Also, don’t miss Tom Walsh’s second ensemble, Phat Hed, also on tour across Canada.

It is now official, the public is invited to experience morceaux_de_machines’ “refreshing dose of megalomania” at Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV) on May 20, 2004. On this occasion, the eletronic bruitist duo will be joined by VJs Boris Firquet and Éric Gagnon.

A meeting between two unorthodox sound artists: Martin Tétreault, a tremendous creator of spaces and Xavier Charles, an unquestionable talent full of energy. Their association gives birth to a world of matter, of sudden revivals, of textures. {nbio:tetreault_ma} and {nbio:charles_xa} will tour Europe from April 22 to May 27, 2004. During the course of his tour, {nbio:tetreault_ma} will also meet in concert with Ignaz Schick, Otomo Yoshihide, Érik M and many others.
