20 000 sons sous les mers [20,000 Sounds Under the Sea] is a Harbour Symphony by Diane Labrosse for 6 boats, one train, moving drums and other instruments. The work will be presented on February 26 and March 5, 2006 near Pointe-à-Callière (Montréal).

Les Poules (Diane Labrosse, sampler; Joane Hétu, saxophone and voice; Danielle Palardy Roger, percussions) will play live at Zeke’s Gallery in Montréal (Québec) on February 21, 2006.

Multireedist Lori Freedman presents Girlfriend, a concert with the Contact contemporary music ensemble, at the Music Gallery (Toronto) on March 8, 2006. Featuring new works, such as Freedman’s Brief Candles, and low memory #3 by Monique Jean.

Bernard Falaise will present a retrospective of his work from March 30 to April 1, 2006 at La Chapelle in Montréal. For these 3 nights of new musics, {nbio:falaise_be} will be joined by Martin Tétreault, the Bozzini Quartet, and the Pentaèdre ensemble.
