The Ensemble Transmission ensemble (Lori Freedman, D’Arcy Philip Gray, Clemens Merkel, Guy Pelletier, Brigitte Poulin, Julie Trudeau) will be in concert in Montréal on April 16, 2009, at Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges. On the programme, works by Rihm, Harvey, Crumb, Villa-Lobos et Lizée.

Malcolm Goldstein and Rainer Wiens, as well as Joshua Zubot, Jean René and Rémy Bélanger de Beauport will be at Le Cagibi on Tuesday April 14, 2009, as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music, now in its second year.

The Normand Guilbeault Ensemble will be at Dièse Onze, in Montréal, on April 10 and 11, 2009. You’ll have the chance to hear his hommage to legendary bassist Charles Mingus.

Jean Derome will be in Toronto, between April 24 to 26, 2009. You’ll have the chance to hear him with the Arraymusic Ensemble, at Somewhere There and also in an interpretation of John Zorn’s Cobra.
