Americain saxophonist Joe Giardullo and Days From Land (Gordon M Allen, Alexandre St-Onge, Gmackrr) will be at Le Cagibi on Tuesday November 4, 2008 as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music.

Saxophonist Pierre Labbé and drummer Isaiah Ceccarelli will be performing a concert of improvised music at Gesù – Centre de créativité at 12 pm on November 4, 2008. (Yes, the concert actually starts at noon…)

Les Poules (Joane Hétu, Diane Labrosse, Danielle Palardy Roger) were invited to take part in AIM Toronto’s Interface Series from November 7 to 9, 2008. You will have the opportunity to hear these telepathic improvisers in trio as well as with a host of Toronto musicians.

On November 2, 2008, Joe Giardullo will be performing at L’envers alongside 16 of Montréal’s finest improvisers: Gordon M Allen, Philippe Battikha, Fred Bazil, Chris Burns, Pierre Cartier, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Michel F , Lori Freedman, John Heward, Philippe Lauzier, Étienne Lebel, Corinne René, Alexandre St-Onge, Sam Shalabi, Ida Toninato and Rainer Weins. Quite the orchestra!

Cordâme, featuring double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux, violonist Marie Neige Lavigne and cellist Julie-Odile Gauthier-Morin, will be at Le Rendez-vous du thé in Montréal on October 31, 2008.

Following the release of Le Silence des hommes D. Kimm has created a concert that is as intense, poetic and moving as the album. The texts are delivered, whispered, accentuated and sung by D. Kimm’s hoarse and fragile voice along the music of Bernard Falaise, Fred Boudreault and Alexis Martin. You might also find Michel Faubert or André Duchesne singing their songs.
