The Up to your Ears festival will take place from August 1 to 17, 2008 at Christ Church Cathedral in Montréal. The programme includes several concerts of musique actuelle. This year, don’t miss, on August 1: Martin Tétreault + Philippe Lauzier + Pierre-Yves Martel; on August 3: Les Poules (a CD launch is planned… we’ll keep you posted soon!); and on August 14: Isaiah Ceccarelli.

The sound poet Paul Dutton will be performing at the festival Nouvelles pistes artistiques inclassables (NPAI) in Niort (France) on July 30 and 31, 2008. The first concert will be with Quintet à Bras (Paul Dutton, voice; Thomas Charmetant, Mongolian cello; Camille Perrin, doublebass; and poets Charles Pennequin and Arno Calleja). The next day Paul Dutton will present a solo performance.

MaryClare Brzytwa, Fred Frith, Sudhu Tewari, and Misa Shimomura will be in concert on July 26, 2008 at Estavayer-le-Lac (Switzerland) as part of the Laboratoire Village Nomade presented by jourparjour.

The Trio Marianne Trudel (Marianne Trudel, Normand Guilbeault, Ugo Di Vito) will perform at Centre d’exposition l’Imagier in Parc de l’imaginaire in Gatineau on July 24, 2008.

Dora Bleu ensemble (Dorothy Geller, Gordon M Allen, Sam Shalabi, Alexandre St-Onge) and guests will be in concert on July 18, 2008 at L’envers in Montréal.

Cordâme and the guest Isaiah Ceccarelli will be in concert on July 18-19, 2008 (8:30 pm) at Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill in Montréal.
