We are looking forward to seeing the continuation of Treize lunes series, a complete show created by Daniel Soulières, Louise Bédard, Jean Derome, Antoine Berthiaume, and Lucie Bazzo. This time, 7 artists wil get together to howl at the moon: first, on Wednesday February 21, then on February 22, and on February 23,2007, very last chance to take part in this extraordinary event. The show brings together 7 artists of Danse-Cité and the Ensemble SuperMusique (you should go on SuperMusique website to check out where the performances will take place: url below). Philippe Lauzier (saxophones, bass clarinet), Antoine Berthiaume (guitar), and Miles Perkin (doublebass) will be at the Café l’Utopik in Montréal on Thursday February 22, 2007. You can also listen to them on the new CD Today is a Special Day.

The Pointe-à-Callière museum asked André Duchesne to compose the 13th Symphonies portuaires (harbour symphonies). Their website tells us that the “author-composer-performer and guitarist André Duchesne will have the honour of presenting an original work to be played on the horns of ships overwintering in the Old Port. The score will include some other unusual urban instruments, from tugboat horns to bells and train whistles.” The event will take place on March 4 and 11, 2007 near place Royale and Pointe-à-Callière, and it’s free. The L’Hexacorde guitar ensemble will perform at Galerie B-312 on February 15, 2007 during the Jeudis tout ouïe series. The sextet will play works by Erik Satie, Claude Vivier, and Toru Takemitsu, Amongst others… Don’t miss it!
