Left-field turntablist Martin Tétreault will meet guitarist Tetuzi Akiyama for an explosive live collaboration at the Detention Studio (Montréal) on Thursday July 13, 2006.

For the “contamporary jazz” series of the Festival international de jazz de Montréal (FIJM), Ensemble SuperMusique (Jean Derome, saxophones, flutes, game calls; Joane Hétu, voice, alto saxophone; Diane Labrosse, sampler; Danielle Palardy Roger, percussions; Pierre Tanguay, percussions; Martin Tétreault, turntables) will present Canevas 2006 at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal on July 7, 2006.

Marilyn Lerner and the Mad Satie Trio, the {nbio:bourassa_fr} {nbio:derome_je} {nbio:tanguay_pi} trio, Pierre Cartier and The Unexpected are amongst the artists selected for the next Vancouver International Jazz Festival (BC), to be held from June 23 to July 2, 2006.
