    The micro collective presents Ragù BOréal, a meeting between musicians from Bologna and Montréal held at the Cinémathèque québécoise (Montréal) from November 13 to 17, 2002. Ragù BOréal proposes 4 musical meetings between bolognese (Paolo Angeli, Andrea Martignoni, Mirko Sabatini and Vincenzo Vasi) and Montréalers (Bernard Falaise, Jean-Pierre Gauthier, Jean Derome, Jean René and Sam Shalabi). Also, don’t miss the CD launch of À chacun son dépanneur by Andrea Martignoni November 13, 2002 at 5pm.

    October 24, 2002: Lee Pui Ming, Ikue Mori and Martin Tétreault live in British-Columbia

    Ikue Mori (percussions) and Martin Tétreault (turntables) worked together (with samplist Diane Labrosse) on the abrasive album Île bizarre. October 24, 2002, the duo will perform at the Vancouver New Music Festival and also October 25, 2002 at Victoria’s Open Space. Also performing at the New Music Festival, do not miss Lee Pui Ming piano solo on October 25 at the Scotiabank Dance Center.

    September 21, 2002, they reunited in Montréal after two years of abscence. Jean Derome et les Dangereux Zhoms, one of the most outstanding ensemble in new music, travels outside Québec for a series of 4 concerts. On October 3, 2002 they will be at the Music Gallery of Toronto (Ontario), on October 4 and 5 they will be at Ann Arbor’s Edgefest (Michigan) and finally, on October 6 they will be live at the Hothouse in Chicago (Illinois).

    The Guitarévolution festival (Montréal) offers a panorama of the electric guitar’s future from September 28 to October 12, 2002. Do not miss, amongst others, “Ambiances Magnétiques plays the guitar” Thursday October 10 at La Chapelle, featuring Bernard Falaise, Daniel Heïkalo, Arthur Bull and saxophonist Pierre Labbé. Also scheduled, “3 guitars plus” with André Duchesne, Rainer Wiens, Jean-Claude Patry and nine other young guitarists.
