    In Montréal on January 20, 2004, Éditions Artextes launched S:on, Sound in Canadian Contemporary Art, an anthology compiled by Nicole Gingras. Amongst the artists represented on this publication we find Pierre-André Arcand, Georges Azzaria, Steve Heimbecker, Hugh Le Caine, Christof Migone, Hélène Prévost, Jocelyn Robert, R Murray Schafer, Michael Snow, Alexandre St-Onge, Martin Tétreault, and Hildegard Westerkamp.

Be there Tuesday March 25, 2003 at La Sala Rossa and Wednesday March 26, 2003 at Le Va-et-Vient (3706 Notre-Dame Ouest) to rejoice with musicians Sam Shalabi, Alexandre St-Onge, John Heward, Philémon, Jacques Gravel, Jesse Levine, Will Glass and Nicolas Caloia.

    Exhibit, album launch and concert for the unrepentant Squint Fucker Press label. Cal Crawford will present his latest opus “sitting on theories on the frontier of extension” and Jonathan Parent will present his first CD, “Littérature,” Thursday February 20, 2003 at Casa del Popolo (Montréal). Moreover, Christof Migone, Alexandre St-Onge and Martin Tétreault will exhibit works from the serie “cover without a record.”

    More than a technical challenge, Machines 08: “Le chemin des machines” is a wonderful networked improvised composition. 4 musicians live through the internet, 8 others scattered in strange places in the Méduse complex and 4 electroacoustic composers to spatialize the result on a loudspeakers orchestra. A prowess you don’t want to miss! With participating artists Diane Labrosse, Alexandre St-Onge, Steeve Lebrasseur, A_dontigny, James Schidlowsky, Julie Rousse, Raphaël Simard, Mathieu Lévesque, Jocelyn Robert (California), Kevin M Krebs (British-Columbia), the Frequenza_Minima duo (Italy) and in the main room composers Jean-François Denis, Gilles Gobeil, Marc Tremblay, and Louis Dufort.
