On October 26, 2008, Damián Nisenson will celebrate his 50th birthday! He will be at the Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill along with Pierre Tanguay on drums and Jean Félix Mailloux on double bass. Come listen and celebrate with him!

Bomata, the new project of Jean Félix Mailloux with Guillaume Bourque and Ziya Tabassian, will be in concert at Festival international de jazz de Montréal on June 26, 2008 (6:30 pm), at Carrefour General Motors.

Damián Nisenson and his guests (Tanguay, Mailloux, Tsou, Goldenschneider, Horvey) will offer a “film & music evening” dedicated to George Méliès’s short silent films. It’s on May 7, 2008, at Casa Obscura in Montréal.

The Ensemble Ad Hoc, bringing together 6 outstanding musicians selected throughout Canada (Guillaume Bourque, Christine Duncan, Jean Félix Mailloux, Jean Martin, Dani Oore, Jesse Zubot), will be on stage on April 18-19, 2008 as part of the La Chapelle’s Musiques nouvelles series. On April 19, a public rehearsal followed by disccusion about improvisation, and a jam session will precede the evening concert (4:30 to 6 pm).

The Trio Jean Félix Mailloux (Arden Arapyan, Jean Félix MaillouxJ and Jonathan Racine-Ménard) will be in concert on Friday March 28, 2008 at Dièse onze in Montréal.

A concert bringing together Bomata (Guillaume Bourque, Jean Félix Mailloux, Ziya Tabassian), Cordâme, and Stan et le Weld Orchestra will take place at Balcon Café-Théâtre, in the Old Montréal, on Saturday March 22, 2008.
