Érick d’Orion is finally back with a new solo album, currently available only as a download from bandcamp. This one rips: harsh electronics with attitude, balls, guts, and brains too. Duration is d’Orion’s friend: the 15-minute Bad Lieutenant has ample time (and enough tools) to make the listener hallucinate profusely. And there’s a lot of order in that chaos — moreso than back when the man was one half of morceaux_de_machines — and a strong sense of drama that would ashame many a TV drama screenplay writer. Bravo!
