Amy Horvey (trumpet), Jennifer Thiessen (viola), Clinton Ryder (double bass), Rainer Wiens (guitar, kalimba) and Isaiah Ceccarelli (percussion) will be at Le Cagibi as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music on Tuesday March 9, 2010.

Nous perçons les oreilles, a duo composed of Joane Hétu and Jean Derome will launch its new opus, Shaman; and musicians Ignaz Schick and Martin Tétreault will launch Live • 33 • 45 • 78. It’s happening at the Goethe-Institut (Montréal), Wednesday March 10, 2010.

Matana Roberts will be in concert at L’envers on February 27, 2010 with Nicolas Caloia, Philippe Lauzier, Sam Shalabi, David Ryshpan, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Molly Sweeney and Diego Poblete.

As part of La Nuit blanche, Cabina Obscura is filmmaking with the live musicians Martin Tétreault and Bernard Falaise. This event will take place on February 27, 2010, at 8:00 pm.

The Pointe-à-Callière museum presents the 16th Symphonies portuaires (harbour symphonies) on February 28 and March 7, 2010. For the occasion, the museum has called composer Pierre Labbé who will present La rumeur court for horns of ships moored in the Quays of the Old Port. Pierre Labbé just released a new album, Manivelle, on Ambiances Magnétiques.
