The Trio Jean Félix Mailloux will play music from Aurores boréales album plus new musical pieces. The ensemble is formed by Arden Arapyan (piano), Jean Félix Mailloux (doublebass), and Jonathan Racine-Ménard (drums, percussion). This first album Cordâme proposes musical voyage through the compositions of Jean Félix Mailloux, which muse likes to visit folk music, film music and improvisation. The result in a few words? Great sonic images, lyricism, relentless rhythms and flying atmospheres. The string trio is formed by Marie Neige Lavigne, Julie-Odile Gauthier-Morin, Jean Félix Mailloux and it cooperates with percussionist Pierre Tanguay.

The Cordâme trio, formed by Marie Neige Lavigne, Julie-Odile Gauthier-Morin, and Jean Félix Mailloux, will give a concert at the Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges on February 7, 2007 with percussionnists Pierre Tanguay and Ziya Tabassian. On the programme are original works by Jean Félix Mailloux from the lastest Cordâme’s album.
