Nozen, Damián Nisenson’s newest quartet featuring Bernard Falaise, Jean Félix Mailloux and Pierre Tanguay, will be in concert at House of Jazz in Montréal on April 27, 2009.

As part of their 2008-09 season, Productions SuperMusique presents Natura Sonoris, a Carte Blanche to Magali Babin. Drawing inspiration from composer Krzysztof Penderecki and his disquieting music, Magali Babin, along with Myléna Bergeron, Karl Lemieux and L’Œil de verre, will present a multimedia work that pushes forward the fearsome audio-visual attacks of five of the most imaginative young artists in Montréal today. The concerts will take place on April 29 and 30, 2009, at the Laboratoire nouveaux médias — Oboro.

The series Je me souviens (2), a tribute to Québec electronic music pionneers (curated by Éric Mattson), will present a concert dedicated to Otto Joachim with, amongst others, Diane Labrosse and Chantal Dumas on April 22, 2009 at La Sala Rossa (Montréal).

In collaboration with Espace Musique, Bozzini Quartet will give two concerts in Montréal in the Studio 12 of the Maison Radio-Canada. In two parts, the Salon des compositeurs will take place at 8PM on April 24 and 25, 2009 and will feature works by composers Martin Arnold, Richard Ayres, Rodney Sharman and Paul Frehner.

Bomata, featuring Jean Félix Mailloux, Guillaume Bourque and Ziya Tabassian, will be in concert on April 23, 2009, at Dièse Onze in Montréal. Listen to excerpts from their latest recording on Malasartes musique!
