Composer and double bass player Pierre Cartier present his project Chansons de la belle espérance Friday March 12, 2004 at the Maison de la culture Frontenac and Saturday March 13 at the Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges (Montréal).

Five years later, L’Orkestre des pas perdus launch a new album, “Mondo Cuivro.” The Orkestre, under the artistic direction of trombone player Claude St-Jean, will be live at La Sala Rossa (Montréal) Saturday February 28, 2004.

Mercredimusics is a series of concerts held every Wednesdays, 8:30 pm at Casa Obscura (Montréal). Many diferent musicians gather for these intimate improvisation evenings. This season’s last Mercredimusics will be held March 31, 2004.

Diane Labrosse (sampler) and Martin Tétreault (turntable) form the duo Parasites. They are guests to Australia’s “What Is Music?” festival and will be live February 10 and 11, 2004 in Syndey and February 15 and 17 in Melbourne.

A collaboration between Studio XX and Club Transmediale, Magali Babin and i8u will present a duo during the “Maid in Cyberspace” event, to be held in Berlin on February 4, 2004. They will also be presenting this work during the next edition of Rien à voir (15), to be held in Montréal from February 11 to 15, 2004.
