Bruire seems to be a troupe des artistes cooperating for this project. Most of the compositions have been written by Michel F Côté, a percussionist/composer who does not eschew experiments with media like radio, and cassette- and cd-player. He is accompanied on this CD by the co-composers/experimentalists/improvisers of the Montréal-scene, like René Lussier, Jean Derome and Robert Lepage (to name a few). The works are a mix of audacious jazzy improvisations and beautifully wild, and sometimes more subtle soundscapes. All together the works sound like colorful paintings. In contrast to many improvisory work I’ve heard in this area here the sound is warm. Which is good nice.
