A true cult band of the Montréal jazz scene, this trio featuring Jean Derome (saxophones and flutes), Normand Guilbeault (double bass) and Pierre Tanguay (drums), will be in concert at the Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges (Montréal) on February 11, 2010.
Six DAME albums are nominated for the 2009 Opus Prizes. Arbor Vitæ by the Bozzini Quartet and Miroir des vents by Quasar are both nominated in the “Disc of the Year — Modern and Contemporary Musics” category. As for Live at Upstairs 2008 by Normand Guilbeault Ensemble is nominated in the “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics” category. Y’a du bruit dans ma cabane by Ensemble SuperMusique and Pas de deux by Fred Frith and Danielle Palardy Roger are nominated in the “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics.” Additionally, Confiture de Gagaku by Jean Derome is nominated for “Concert of the Year — actuelle and electroacoustic musics”. The 13th Opus Prize Gala will take place on January 31, 2010 at the Salle Claude-Champagne, Université de Montréal.
During the third edition of Festival de Jazz de Québec, the Trio Derome Guilbeault Tanguay will be in concert on September 25, 2009 at Largo and Normand Guilbeault Ensemble will be at Cercle le September 26.

During the month of January, 2009, the Trio Derome Guilbeault Tanguay is performing every Wednesday and Thursday evening at Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill in Montréal. Each night, the trio presents three different sets; the first begins at 8:30PM, the second at 10PM and the third at 11:30PM.
After a year’s hiatus, the Trio Derome Guilbeault Tanguay is back! Jean Derome, Normand Guilbeault and Pierre Tanguay will be in concert at Le Dièse onze in Montréal on December 19 and 20, 2008. It’s gonna swing!
