The series Je me souviens (2), tribute to Québec electronic music pionneers will present a concert dedicated to alcides lanza with, amongst others, Novi_sad, Pierre Tanguay and Érick d’Orion on June 10, 2009 at La Sala Rossa (Montréal).
The Suoni Per Il Popolo festival is held in Montréal throughout the month of June and features concerts every evening at La Sala Rossa as well as at Casa del Popolo. This year you will hear, amongst others: Ensemble SuperMusique,Quartetski, Joshua Zubot, Pierre Tanguay, Scott Thomson, Jean Derome, Nicolas Caloia, Isaiah Ceccarelli and Marilyn Lerner.
Pierre Tanguay, Lisle Ellis and Paul Cram have shared together a thirty year history of improvised music. On the rare occasions this post-jazz group plays together, the effect is electric and unforgettable. Don’t miss them as they perform at the Open Ears Festival in Kitchener, Ontario, on April 29, 2009.
As part of John Geggie’s popular ongoing concert series, now in it’s eight consecutive year, the Ottawa-based double bassist has inivited Montréalers Pierre-Yves Martel (viola da gamba), Denis Plante (bandoneon) and Pierre Tanguay (drums) to join him for the fifth concert of his 2008-2009 season. Inspired by tango, baroque and improvised music, the concert takes place at the Fourth Stage of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on March 21, 2009.
