Amongst the many artists invited at the 2010 Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV), we noticed the presence of Érick d’Orion and Les Filles électriques on May 21 2010, Jim Denley, Philippe Lauzier Pierre-Yves Martel, Éric Normand, Kim Myhr and Malcolm Goldstein on May 22, 2010, as well as René Lussier, Lori Freedman, Martin Tétreault and Nancy Tobin on May 23, 2010.

January 30 – February 1, 2009: Ceccarelli and Lauzier in Concert in Oslo
Drummer Isaiah Ceccarelli and saxophonist Philippe Lauzier will be performing in Oslo, Norway, on January 30 and February 1, 2009. The first concert, in duo setting, will be at the [sic!] series at the Sagene kulturverksted. The second concert, at the Sound of Mu, will find them playing with Norwegian musicians Kim Myhr on guitar and Martin Taxt on tuba.
December 13, 2008 – January 24, 2009: Kim Myhr in Concert on Radio France
On December 13, 2008, Kim Myhr and his group The Silencers (Nils Ostendorf, Toma Gouband and Benoit Delbecq) will be featured on Radio France show À l’improviste, hosted by Anne Montaron. The concert, which is open to the public, will be broadcasted on January 24, 2009, and will be available on Radio France Website.

Disparition de l’usine éphémère is the first release from a quartet consisting of prominent improvisers from Québec and Norway: Philippe Lauzier, Pierre-Yves Martel, Kim Myhr and Martin Tétreault. The peculiar combination of old and new instruments renders a poetic image of a faded, bygone industrial plant.
