Guy Marchamps

Born in Trois-Rivières in 1958, Guy Marchamps holds a Master’s degree in literary studies. In 1983, he co-founded the journal Le Sabord, to which he still contributes. From 1989 to 1991, he sat on the board of directors of the Société de développement des périodiques culturels québécois. He has published ten books of poetry. A literature professor for four years, he decided to leave teaching in spring 1998 to open a bookstore, L’Histoire sans fin, in his home town. Guy Marchamps is also a blues musician who plays harmonica and a thousand other instruments. He has been performing on stage for around twenty years. In his inimitable relaxed yet festive style, he frequently hosts shows and poetry evenings. More
