September 9, 2009: DAME’s Musicians at the Guelph Jazz Festival
Many musicians and ensembles from the Ambiances Magnétiques label will take part in the Guelph Jazz Festival (Ontario), to be held from September 9 — 13, 2009. Acts featured include Jean Derome et les Dangereux Zhoms +7 on September 10, Scott Thomson on September 11 and finally Joëlle Léandre, the trio Évidence, and John Geggie with Marilyn Crispell and Nick Fraser on September 12. R&C: Why Making CDs
The French magazine Revue & corrigée (#76, June 2008) has published an impelling article Pourquoi faites-vous des disques? (“Why do you make CDs?”). Jérôme Noetinger, remembering the 1987 Libération special issue asking “Why do you make films?” and the answer by Jean-Luc Godard (“I make movies to avoid the why question”), has decided to ask “the why question" to about 40 artists and producers, amongst whom: Jean-François Denis, Bertrand Denzler, Bernard Fort, Lionel Marchetti, Martin Tétreault, Carole Rieussec, Joëlle Léandre…
March 25, 2008: SuperMusique: Léandre, Derome, Roger in Montréal
The next Production Supermusique event, Léandre, Derome, Roger, will be presented very soon! For this concert, the grande dame of improvised music, French doublebassist Joëlle Léandre, will meet in duo and trio two Montréalers, masters of improvisation: multi-instrumentist Jean Derome and percussionnist Danielle Palardy Roger. The concert will be on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at La Sala Rossa in Montréal.

September 6 – 10, 2006: DAME at the 13th Guelph Jazz Festival
The Guelph Jazz Festival (Ontario) will take place from September 6 to 10, 2006. We will hear pianist Marilyn Lerner on September 6, and Robert Marcel Lepage will present his project Pee Wee et moi on September 7. Famed trumpet player Bill Dixon and double bass master Joëlle Léandre will share the stage on September 8. Alson, Lori Freedman will join the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble on September 9.
