Malcolm Goldstein and Rainer Wiens, as well as saxophonists Philippe Lauzier, Ida Toninato and Jason Sharp will be at Le Cagibi on Tuesday January 20, 2009 as part of the Mardi spaghetti weekly series for creative music.
June 2, 2008: A Derome-Hétu Premiere During Suoni Per Il Popolo, Montréal
Le mensonge et l’identité by Jean Derome and Joane Hétu will be presented on June 3, 2008 at La Sala Rossa, in Montréal, as part of the Suoni Per Il Popolo festival. The piece, commissioned by the Bozzini Quartet and the Deutschlandfunk, has been premiered last April during the Forum Neue Musik in Cologne. Furthermore, on concert programme, two pieces by composer and violonist Malcolm Goldstein.

For another year, the Festival Voix d’Amériques collaborates with many musicians of whom Guido Del Fabbro, Bernard Falaise, Michel F Côté, Malcolm Goldstein, Diane Labrosse, Geneviève Letarte, Alexandre St-Onge… The festival begins next Friday, February 1-8, 2008, at Galerie Espace, Casa del Popolo, and La Sala Rossa in Montréal.

The Up to Your Ears festival will take place on August 9 to 19, 2007 at the Christ Church Cathedral in Montréal. Amongst the guest artists invited to celebrate contemporary music in its written, improvised, electroacoustic, “actuelle,” and jazz forms, are Lori Freedman, Bozzini Quartet, Ga Ma Ra trio (Ganesh Anandan, Malcolm Goldstein, Rainer Wiens), and Quintette Mont-Royal.
