David Bussières
Born on a beautiful winter day of 1977 (the year of the rain), David was leading a simple and happy life until his 15th birthday, when someone offered him a guitar. An ecstatic feeling and an ontological need to express himself through music took him over. 11 years later he walked out of the music school, a masters degree in classical guitar in hand, and wrote the music of La Spirale de l’Escargot. Besides this creative activity, David teaches guitar at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, lends his talents as a pop, classical and jazz guitarist to composers of music for advertisements and television shows, accompanies the vocal gymnastics of many a female singer in concert halls, and often plays in less official settings, like cocktails and soirées in restaurants.
