Chantal Bergeron
Born on the same beautiful winter day as David, the same year of torrential rain that was 1977. Chantal doesn’t have any memory of a life without music. Right from her birthday (or very soon afterward) she learned to play the violin and the piano. Displaying exceptional, nay prodigious talent, and an absolutely flawless ear, she waltzed through her Masters degree in violin from the Université de Montréal. Several persons “in the know” call her repeatedly to invite her to join their prestigious ensembles. Among them are l’Ensemble de la Chapelle de Montréal conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the orchestra of the Opéra de Montréal, and Édith Butler. Chantal is also a remarkable teacher at the École des Jeunes of the Université de Montréal. You can listen to her playing on the soundtrack to several television shows and, if you pay her a visit, you’ll be able to hear the lovely babble of her bald little baby Victor. More
