Four DAME albums are nominated for the 2010 Opus Prizes. My 20th Century by Tim Brady is nominated in the “Disc of the Year — Modern and Contemporary Musics” category. The Manivelle by Pierre Labbé is nominated in the “Disc of the Year — Musique actuelle, Electroacoustics” category. Infininiment by the group Klaxon Gueule is nominated in the “Disc of the Year — actuelle and electroacoustic music.” And the Migration by the group Cordâme is nominated in the “Disc of the Year — world music”. The 14th Opus Prize Gala will take place on January 30, 2011 at the Salle Claude-Champagne, Université de Montréal.
The Pointe-à-Callière museum presents the 16th Symphonies portuaires (harbour symphonies) on February 28 and March 7, 2010. For the occasion, the museum has called composer Pierre Labbé who will present La rumeur court for horns of ships moored in the Quays of the Old Port. Pierre Labbé just released a new album, Manivelle, on Ambiances Magnétiques.

Pierre Labbé will officially launch its new album, Manivelle, on November 04, 2009 at the Cheval blanc (Montréal). With musicians Bernard Falaise (guitar), Clinton Ryder (double bass) and Isaiah Ceccarelli (drums). Finally, Pierre Labbé’s back on CD, six years after Risque et pendule.
